How to Connect

Untold Destiny is a modded server. There are over 200 modifications to Minecraft which greatly expand the game and gameplay.

You need a reasonably modern Windows or Mac PC with a 64-bit operating system and at least 12 GB of system RAM (16 GB RAM recommended). The mod pack is quite large and will take at least 5 minutes to load. Grab yourself a cup of tea!

First-time Install Instructions

Make sure you have the latest version of Java [Please download the Windows Offline and Windows Offline (64-bit)]
Download Java

Download the MultiMC launcher from this link. Save it to your computer in an easily accessible place. Extract the ZIP file and place the folder somewhere handy, like C:\MultiMC

  1. Find the MultiMC executable and create a shortcut to your desktop for easy reference
  2. Launch MultiMC
  3. At the top right, add your Minecraft/Mojang profile so you can play online
  4. Click the “Add Instance” button at the top left
  5. On the left, select “Import from ZIP”
  6. In the box, copy and paste the following– https://www.untolddestiny.com/downloads/UntoldDestinyRevelation1.20.1.zip
  7. Click OK
  8. Click Launch
  9. Wait until Minecraft loads. This is a huge mod pack, and loading will take at least 5 minutes on a fast computer.
  10. Click Multiplayer
  11. Click Add Server
  12. Type in “Untold Destiny” as the name and “mc.untolddestiny.com” as the server address (without quotes!)
  13. Connect. It will seem like it hangs for a while as you load in, and you may need to reconnect again because the pack is so big!

Update Install Instructions

You always need the latest version of Java. Make sure you have the latest version of Java (you need 32 bit AND 64 bit Java installs)
Download Java

  1. Launch your previously-configured MultiMC client
  2. TIP: Don’t delete the old instance yet… you’ll need it for your screenshots, JourneyMap data, and keybindings.
  3. Click the “Add Instance” button at the top left
  4. On the left, select “Import from ZIP”
  5. In the box, copy and paste the following–  https://www.untolddestiny.com/downloads/UntoldDestinyRevelation1.20.1.zip
  6. Click OK
  7. Steps 7+8 are optional to copy your Journeymap, screenshots, and client settings: Select your old Minecraft instance on the MultiMC screen. Click “Instance Folder” on the right. Go to the .minecraft folder and copy the following – /journeymap/ (entire folder), /screenshots/ (entire folder), and /options.txt (single file)
  8. Go back to the MultiMC main page and select the new instance. Click “Instance Folder” on the right. Go to the .minecraft folder and paste what you just copied, overwriting files.
  9. Launch
  10. Wait until Minecraft loads. This is a huge mod pack, and loading will take at least 5 minutes on a fast computer.
  11. Click Multiplayer
  12. Click Add Server
  13. Type in “Untold Destiny” as the name and “mc.untolddestiny.com” as the server address (without quotes!) If you used a different server name in your old instance, make sure to keep it the same as the old instance or your JourneyMap data won’t work.
  14. Connect. It will seem like it hangs for a while as you load in, but you’ll connect shortly!
